ARCS monthly member meetings are held at our flying field located off of Coleman Bridge Road, East of Aiken, SC.  Please refer to the map included within the aikenrc.com web site for complete directions to the ARCS flying field.

The meetings begin at 10:00 AM on the second Saturday of each month.  It is recommended that anyone interested in attending a club meeting text Russell Hale, club president, at 803-295-6736 to confirm the next meeting date, time and place.

We have an active group who fly a variety of electric, gas and glow powered models, as well as sailplanes, helicopters, paragliders and even kites.  Depending on weather, fliers can be found at our field on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from about 9AM to 2pm or so.  There has been some renewed activity centered around electric planes and fliers are now out virtually any day the sun is out, the wind is down and the temperatures are above 40.

Our club has a radio controlled (RC) trainer plane with “Buddy Box” that can be used to introduce a prospective flier, at no cost, to the sport of RC model aviation. Additional information about joining our club may be found at the “Joining ARCS” page.
